Manchester City Dream Scene launches this week.

It’s been a long road to the upcoming launch of this exciting project for Manchester City Football Club. This Wednesday, August 8th UK time, sees the first glimpse of a painting and project that has been 3 years in the making. I’ve travelled across the globe 4 times to present this ambitious concept to one of the biggest clubs in world football. I am very proud that they have embraced the Dream Scene concept and delighted that it has been met with such enthusiasm from within the Club.

Manchester City is more than just a football club, it is a global organisation and brand that has a multitude of significant interests to attend to, let alone listen to the likes of me… some artist from the furthest end of the globe, talking about some abstract art project. So it is with great pride, satisfaction and some trepidation (brought on by so much effort, time, expense and sheer will power) that I see this project being presented to the Manchester City community.

Over the next 3 weeks we will see several mini reveals, delving into the many stories that are contained within the scene.

31 City legends have been magically transported from throughout the entire history of the club, into the current day dressing room. Here they mingle and swap stories that have become part of City folklore. Who would have been drawn to whom? What would they have talked about? Well, soon you will be able to walk amongst them in what must surely be… Blue Heaven.

The 3 x 1 metre oil on canvas has taken 9 months to research, design, draw and then finally put to canvas. It will be fully and officially unveiled at the Club at an intimate event on Friday August 31st.

High quality reproductions on paper and canvas have been meticulously produced from the original artwork and are available in the shop for all City fans. The image is obscured at present until the final reveal at the end of the month, but pre reveal purchases are available.
