RANGERS 15OTH ANNIVERSARY DREAM SCENE UNVEILED.
To commemorate their prestigious 150th anniversary, Rangers Football Club commissioned me to create an iconic and truly unique artwork. This 3 x 1 metre oil on canvas weaves together times, places and people spanning a century and a half, distilling the essence of the club, its spirit and culture, into one magical dressing room of dreams. 25 of the club’s greats gather in a magical moment in time to mingle and swap stories that have become Rangers folklore. The room is adorned with references that add another layer of storytelling about the incredible journey Rangers Football Club has undertaken to date.

LITHOGRAPH ON PAPER
Meticulously reproduced from the original artwork, this Fine Art Lithograph has been printed on 350 gsm art paper (95cm x 42.8cm).
BONUS* Along with each lithograph comes a print of the Artist’s Preliminary Pencil Sketch (60cm x 28cm) and a 19 page Colour Booklet explaining the many stories woven into the scene (21cm x 21cm).

Medium Canvas. Limited edition of 150. 130cm x 43cm
A super hi resolution scan of the original artwork has been used to create these stunning canvas prints. Each piece is individually made, printed onto quality cotton canvas then gallery wrapped around wooden stretcher bars to look and feel like the original painting.
One canvas has been produced and allocated to each year of the club’s existence, making each one unique. E.g. 1/150 – 1872, 2/150 – 1873 etc…

FROM THE ARTIST
It is a great honour and indeed an enormous responsibility to attempt to encapsulate 150 years of Rangers history into one image. It is a task that I take on with great humility and sincerity, for I can never hope to succeed in telling the entire story of this great and long-standing club. My aim here is to bring together times, people and even places that represent the incredible journey this club has taken for a century and a half.
I invite you to imagine what tales are being told and what deeds are being shared that have become part of Rangers folklore. Stories from both on and off the pitch, with legends from different times swapping notes on their respective eras and the ever-changing style of the game they love.
Rest assured that being a lifelong football follower, an ex-professional footballer myself and having devoted the past 25 years to producing these historical artworks, I understand what a football club means to both the people within it, its fans and community.
