Canvas ‘Giclee’ reproductions are taken from a super hi resolution scan of the original artwork. Printed onto quality cotton canvas, UV sealed and then gallery wrapped around wooden stretcher bars to look and feel like the original artwork. They are finished with a navy blue border for a modern finish that requires no framing and are delivered with hanging brackets ready to put on the wall.

There has not been a professional team in Australian sporting history that has had such a dynamic impact on our landscape in such a short time. Melbourne Storm has packed more into 20 years than most clubs do in a century. Exploding onto the scene in 1998, they had their work cut out to gain any traction in the AFL mad city of Melbourne. On top of that they were hated by the NSW faction of the NRL as a spin off to the Melbourne/Sydney rivalry.

How would they ever survive?

A premiership in their second year, with 4 more Grand Final wins since then, sure helped stamp their authority on the national game.

There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way. The salary cap saga would have destroyed most clubs, but it only made Melbourne Storm stronger as club and community bonded ever more tightly. This was only achievable due to the amazing culture that has been developed within the Club. The sense of community and culture is powerful when you enter AAMI Park.

The Club’s official Team of 20 Years has been brought to life through the brush of acclaimed sports artist Jamie Cooper.

“I have tried to convey the sense of pride and togetherness that struck me as I researched this project. The people at the club and the players were so passionate about what they had achieved over the past two decades. I have gathered the greatest players from this period, featured in the Team of 20 years, into the current day dressing-rooms. Here they mingle and swap stories that have become part of Storm folklore. There are many subtle references to the player’s personalities and deeds, both on and off the field that have endeared them to the Storm fans. The booklet that comes with each print runs you thorough everything that is woven into the scene.”
